Button polyps are an excellent choice for the reef tank beginner, these corals are extremely hardy and do well in most lighting environments. The more light they receive, the more vibrant their coloration will be. These coral reproduce rapidly by budding from their base, mature polyps are not connected to others after reproducing. Colors are most commonly green or brown, however brighly colored orange, yellow or pink have been collected. Place anywhere in tank that they will receive light, with moderate water movement.
