Fishing Item ID: #901

Cyprichromis leptosoma “Slender Cichlid

Product Information:

The sardine-shaped leptosoma is found throughout the eastern coast Lake Tanganyika with many attractive variants. This particular cichlid is actually a schooling, open water fish, and requires plenty of open swimming areas. Keep them in groups of 8 to 12 or more fish, if possible. Provide a large rock formation and a lid as well, for security. Keep Cyps with similar medium-sized cichlids, though nothing overly aggressive, as they are generally peaceful. They are maternal mouth brooders that spawn in the water column instead of sediment or rock. Feed them a variety of meaty foods, preferably frozen, though they should accept flake or pellet as well. Their primary diet in the wild is zooplankton.
