The Splendid Dottyback is a very attract Pseudochromis. The body coloration will be either a golden yellow or a light brown with white dots that form almost lines on the fish. They also have a black line that runs directly through their eye and connects to the dorsal fin. Some of these dottybacks will also have various amounts of blue throughout the pelvic fins and dorsal fin. They will accept frozen brine shrimp and krill soon after acclimating to the home aquarium. It is recommended that flake food or pellet food be added to the diet once the fish has become established in the aquarium. This will enhance the vitamins and minerals that they are receiving and keep them healthy. Dottybacks are territorial fish, and should only be kept one to a tank. They will get along with all other types of fish as long as their home is not disturbed by other fish.
