Slipper Lobsters are wide and have flattened heads and specialized claws. They are reef safe, but due to their digging habits and potential size, are not recommended for such environments. They are best housed singly in a large species tank. They are cooler water species and temperature should be closely monitored. Their specialized digging claws allow them to scavenge for meaty foods.
